Daily News dream expert Lauren Lawrence interprets your dreams
WILD TIME ON THE MARRY-GO-ROUND
I recently got divorced, but I dreamt I was on a cruise ship going to get remarried. The groom had the same name as my ex, but I couldn’t see his face. He turned away, or I was too far to see it clearly. I delayed the wedding by not finding my wedding dress and by running to the ladies’ room. I wore a white miniskirt and a cardigan that kept opening, and I felt I was exposing myself until I was given a safety pin to close it. After the ceremony, I was happy because the faceless man I married was different from my ex in demeanor and personality. He gave me white roses and a rose bush … any interpretation of that?

Analysis: You are conflicted: You wish to be married again, but on a deeper level you know it is best to wait. There has not been enough time or emotional distance for you to achieve clarity. This accounts for the faceless groom, the delays and the missing wedding dress. The cardigan that keeps opening reveals vulnerability: Your heart is exposed. The safety pin reveals your wish for self-containment.
You still have feelings for your ex, but are unable to look this reality in the face. You transform him instead. The groom’s gift of the white rose bush reveals that even though there may be thorns, you wish for an enduring romance that has roots.
FIT TO BE TIED (UP)
I recently dreamt that a rope was tied all around me. The more I tried to get it off, the more entangled I became. What does this dream mean?

Analysis: Your dream reveals the wish to extricate yourself from some restriction, restraint or obligation. There is also the sense of being stymied or held back in your present situation, in that your hands are tied. Yet on some level your restraints may be self-imposed: On the one hand, you want your freedom unencumbered, but on the other hand you may wish to remain tied … to the past, perhaps.
